摘要: A survey of epiphytes in Gambari Forest Reserve Southwestern Nigeria was undertaken. total 26 were recorded. These include five pteridophytes and 21 angiosperm species belonging to the following families; Acanthaceae, Araceae, Asteraceae, Commelinaceae, Moraceae, Orchidaceae, Palmae, Urticaceae Piperaceae, Portulacaceae. The smooth-barked phorophytes had only one or two on them because they are unable accumulated dust, debris moisture for germination growth epiphytes. palm trees with rough barks points at which can collect soil, nutrients epiphytic growth, hence all recorded site present trees. Presence many is thought be due availability propagules from reproducing adults surrounding vegetation. Also, appear have a ‘dressing’ effect
