Determinants hindering the intention of tourists to visit disaster-hit destinations

摘要: The purpose of this study is to propose and examine a new research model that able capture both the cognitive affective components influencing potential tourists' behavioural intentions visit disaster-hit destination, which have negatively affected their perceived destination image. A survey 357 participants provides strong support for model. results indicate participants' perceptions image are predictor travel intentions. Factors relating appraisals (e.g. equipment risk, natural risk social risk) as well evaluations fear ghosts, unpleasantness, etc.) were found be critical significantly, negatively, influence Theoretical practical implications discussed herein.
