摘要: In mammals, circadian oscillators not only exist in specialized neurons of the suprachiasmatic nucleus, but almost all peripheral cell types. These are operative even established fibroblast lines, such as Rat-1 cells or NIH3T3 cells, and primary fibroblasts from mouse embryos adult animals. This can be demonstrated by treating for a short time period with high concentrations serum chemicals that activate large number known signaling pathways. The possibility studying rhythms cultured should facilitate biochemical genetic dissection clockwork promote discovery new clock components.
