A reliable treatment of the homotopy analysis method for viscous flow over a non-linearly stretching sheet in presence of a chemical reaction and under influence of a magnetic field

摘要: The similarity solution for the steady two-dimensional flow of an incompressible viscous and electrically conducting fluid over a non-linearly semi-infinite stretching sheet in presence chemical reaction under influence magnetic field gives system non-linear ordinary differential equations. These equations are analytically solved by applying newly developed method, namely Homotopy Analysis Method (HAM). analytic solutions constructed series form. convergence obtained is carefully analyzed. Graphical results presented to investigate Schmidt number, parameter on velocity concentration fields. It noted that behavior HAM profiles good agreement with numerical given reference [A. Raptis, C. Perdikis, Int. J. Nonlinear Mech. 41, 527 (2006)].
