摘要: Prorocentrum lima is a toxic alga that produces both intra-cellular and extra-cellular toxins, including okadaic acid (OA) dinophysistoxins (DTXs). Nauplii of the brine shrimp Artemia salina were exposed to cell cell-free culture medium P. in order test hypotheses palatable but fatal it. cysts incubated hatched, mortalities recorded for nauplii hatched in, metanuaplii to, solutions (autoclaved filtered seawater + medium) contained at least 50% medium. Animals cells readily fed on cells. Some, especially among Day 1 nauplii, ingested only one before dying, while others more than cell, up six case 3 dying. heavily impacted by Survival analysis was used evaluate survivorship lima. Estimates made tD50s different age groups. Comparisons showed 2 did not vary significantly, they each varied significantly from tD50 nauplii. The possible ecological implications findings are discussed.
