摘要: Ambrosia beetles are small wood inhabiting members of the Curculionidae that have evolved obligate symbioses with fungi. The fungal symbionts concentrate nutrients from within infested trees into a usable form for their beetle partners, which then utilize fungi as primary source nutrition. species associate one or more symbiotic species, but they also vector auxiliary symbionts, may provide developmental ecological advantages. In this study we isolated and identified ophiostomatalean associated ambrosia occurring in native forest area South Africa. Using modified Bambara trap, living specimens were collected isolated. Four three Scolytinae Bostrichidae, collected. Five using both morphological characters DNA sequence data. One these Raffaelea sulphurea, was recorded Africa first time two novel described Ceratocystiopsis lunata sp. nov. promiscua
