摘要: The origins of cumulate rocks are re-examined in the light new concepts fluid dynamics crystallising systems. We propose that during formation adcumulate rocks, compositional convection allows continuous exchange melt pores a cumulus pile with main magma reservoir. consider this explanation to be physically more plausible than proposed conventional theory. present an experimental study crystallisation porous medium illustrate process, and theoretical analysis demonstrate its applicability chambers. also factors which may inhibit thus lead meso- orthocumulates. Finally we suggest how these ideas used understand distribution different rock types layered intrusions.
