摘要: The blood flow velocity patterns within the left atrial appendage were studied by transesophageal color imaging and pulsed Doppler in 84 patients. At time of study, 57 patients sinus rhythm, 25 fibrillation, two flutter. relationships between pattern presence/ absence spontaneous echocardiographic contrast or thrombus investigated. Transesophageal echocardiography allowed recording velocities 81 studied. In 51 55 rhythm study showed a biphasic pattern, whereas multiphasic was found with flutter 14 fibrillation. four 10 no significant could be detected. Thrombus 20 patients, all these either absent significantly reduced. Our findings indicate that an low represents predisposing factor for thrombosis. Isolated dysfunction has been documented during which may lead to This observation offer explanation cardioembolic events occur occasionally without apparent heart disease rhythm.
