The API allows users at several devices operating on network to collaboratively develop model of an object or group objects. receives indication that selected component has been modified by the software in accordance user commands, generates data indicative modifications component, and causes update be transmitted collaboration server via communication synchronize between first computing device second device. may include identifier, such identifier uniquely identifies model.
