摘要: Inaccuracy in recognizing the empty sella by conventional computed tomography (CT) techniques derives from diverse intrasellar cystic structures that are not distinguished it. In 23 cases of presumed sella, it was observed pituitary stalk within enlarged (infundibulum) demonstrated thin (1.5 mm) coronal CT sections. Although diagnosis proven studies, normal appearance infundibulum is believed to exclude an cyst or tumor as cause sellar enlargement. Coronal sections with slices and intravenous contrast enhancement recommended when be documented CT. When this technique, intrathecal may warranted.
