摘要: Abstract We examine the effects of fire and/or surrounding vegetation cover on demographic stage densities and plant performance for a rare endemic geophyte, Acis nicaeensis (Alliaceae), in Mediterranean xerophytic grasslands ‘Alpes-Maritimes’ French ‘departement’, through sampling plots unburned burned treatments. Fire increases density flowering individuals seedling emergence, as well clump number per clump, limiting height cover, increasing bare soil cover. In contrast, has no effect reproductive success. Nevertheless, two growing seasons after fire, all parameters stages do not significantly differ between Small-scale is beneficial regeneration this threatened geophyte at short-time scale. context, conservation planning with small controlled fires could maintain window populations geophytes.
