Autonomic and psychologic correlates in hypertension and duodenal ulcer

摘要: Psychophysiologic response patterns of 47 male duodenal-ulcer patients, 50 hypertensive and a control group 65 men were compared by recording skin resistance level responses, finger pulse volume, surface integrated electromyograms during series verbal, acoustic, color stimuli. Personality characteristics examined on the basis Eysenck Inventory, Luscher Test, Juhasz’ Neurosis Scoring Scale, Achievement Anxiety Scale Alpert Haber. Using stepwise discriminant analysis these psychophysiologic data for groups duodenal ulcer groups, errorless postdiction membership was obtained, which indicates that autonomic parameters psychologic traits selected as show relationships are relevant from diagnostic viewpoint in patients. The method could be developed into screening test procedure use early detection persons potentially at risk.
