摘要: Gadolinium gallium garnet, Gd3Ga5O12 (GGG) has an extraordinary low-temperature phase diagram. Although the Curie–Weiss temperature of GGG is ~–2 K, shows no long-range order down to T ~ 0.4 K. At low temperatures a spin-glass at fields ( 0.08 T), field-induced long-range-ordered anti-ferromagnetic (AFM) between 0.7 and 1.3 T, and, intermediate fields, apparent spin-liquid (SL) without order. We have performed specific heat, magnetocaloric, static magnetization measurements near SL/AFM boundary. Our results show that lower field boundary AFM distinct minimum 0.2 in analogy melting curve 4He. PACS Nos.: 75.30Kz, 75.50Ee
