摘要: Abstract Impulsive acoustic and vibration signals within rotating machinery are often induced by irregular impacting. The detection of these impulses can be useful for fault diagnosis purposes. Recently there has been an increasing trend towards the use higher-order statistics mechanical systems based on observation that impulsive tend to increase kurtosis values. This paper considers third- fourth-order Wigner moment spectra, called bi- tri-spectra respectively, analysing such signals. Expressions auto- cross-terms in distributions presented discussed. It is shown trispectrum a more suitable analysis tool its performance compared second-order counterpart detecting These methods also applied measured data sets from car engine industrial gearbox.
