WFSA: Achievements and Challenges

摘要: The World Federation of Societies Anaesthesiologists (WFSA) was founded in 1955 at the 1st Congress (WCA) with a clearly stated and noble objective: “to make available highest standards anaesthesia to all peoples world” [1]. 1996 statutes re-stated that objective as “anaesthesia resuscitation”. To end several pursuits are listed, including: (1) assist encourage formation national societies anaesthesiologists; (2) promote education dissemination scientific information; (3) arrange regular intervals WCA sponsor regional congresses; (4) recommend desirable for training (5) establishment safety measures, including standardisation equipment; (6) advise, upon request, international organisations [2]. In this chapter it will become evident those were ably extensively achieved, but also WFSA still faces considerable challenges, over which has no control.
