摘要: Computer simulations are used to evaluate maximum likelihood methods for inferring male fertility in plant populations. The method can provide substantial power characterize fertilities at the population level. Results emphasize, however, importance of adequate experimental design and evaluation estimates, as well limitations inference (e.g., about variance or correlation between phenotypic trait value) that be reasonably drawn.
