摘要: Parental engagement is critical to children’s educational achievement. Before and during elementary school, it crucial for parents be involved in their education order foster development Hispanic parents’ immigrant status, coupled with a lack of English proficiency, means that they often find themselves low socioeconomic status (SES). Being SES also possess fewer resources engaging children. The current study seeks understand low-income, primarily mothers’ perceptions roles first grade education. Mothers were interviewed regarding parenting confidence related teaching children, responses analyzed using qualitative research methods. this associated two primary areas: helping children learn, raising well-behaved respectful. main barrier parental these appeared proficiency.
