摘要: Diclinism is not only an interesting natural phenomenon in plant kingdom, but also of significance the yield crops, e.g. cucumber and watermelon. Cucumber has been a model for studying diclinism decades. However, it still obscure how carpel primordia male flower undergo developmental processes after initiation their development. By showing morphological alternation, metabolic activity, as well asCFL gene expression, present study demonstrated that flowers maintained characteristics primordium until anthesis, although developed significantly slower than female flowers.
