摘要: This paper examines to what extent gender gaps in education, health, employment, productive assets and inputs can affect pro poor growth (in the sense of increasing monetary incomes poor). After discussing serious methodological problems with examining issues context an income-based pro-poor framework, considers theory evidence on impact inequality growth. While there is a considerable literature suggesting negative impacts growth, much less information inequality. The then experiences country cases finds that have significant effect but importance type effects differ considerably between different regions. It also appears operate primarily via rather than distributional change.
