Isolation of dihydromyricetin and dihydroquercetin from bark of pinus contorta

摘要: Bark of shore pine has high contents the dihydroflavonols dihydromyricetin and dihydroquercetin. A method for isolation pure, optically active compounds in gram amounts been developed, involving Soxhlet extraction finely ground, dry bark preparative scale reversed-phase HPLC. Among a number inexpensive solvents tested ethyl acetate is useful, being reasonably effective step giving crude extractive that suitable HPLC without any pre-treatment. The use from dead trees, which have lying open couple years, advantageous because lower content resinous material. 270 MHz1H- and13C-NMR electron impact mass spectra are presented.
