摘要: The use of the pace evoked response system in assessment drug-induced changes myocardial repolarisation is reported. Using a conventional pacing electrode lead for both and sensing, this records dominantly local which follows controlled (paced) depolarisation from same site. Measurements latency ventricular at matched heart rates before after drug administration permit accurate direct comparison effects drugs with class 3 mode action on cardiac muscle repolarisation. method we have evaluated effect timing T wave two are known to prolong phase 2 potential. Intravenous amiodarone (5 mg/kg) prolonged stimulus-peak interval by an average 39-4 ms (15% control values); three hours oral bethanidine (2 increased 25.8 (10% values). therapeutic interventions paced provides simple, their cellular potential duration constitutes new tool electrophysiological investigations.
