摘要: Biogeographers use Quaternary records to study a wide spectrum of issues ranging from climate change impacts pollution and controls on biodiversity. Traditionally, terrestrial plants have been used, but increasingly, fossil aquatic organisms, such as diatoms midges, are being investigated. Recent advances in paleolimnological (i.e., the lake sediments) techniques enabled increased contributions frontiers biogeographic research. This research shows profound impact human activity Earth importance long-term perspective protect future planet's ecosystems.
