摘要: All mosquito-collection methods have practical limitations and introduce sampling bias. The two recommended in these guidelines, infusion-baited ovitraps backpack aspirator collections, sample different portions of the adult mosquito population. former selectively monitors activity gravid, egg-laying females, whereas latter indoor resting females all stages gonotrophic cycle. Both were developed to enable public health authorities assess impact space spray applications insecticides by monitoring Ae. aegypti population on a daily basis. Infusion-enhanced are cheap simple operate, use minimal manpower, less reliant skills diligence. Collections from sites monitor more direct way provide material suitable for parous rate determination. However, they labour intensive, require higher dedication, intrusive local inhabitants. If resources available, simultaneous both will increase confidence results.
