Metastatic tumors to the parotid and submandibular glands

摘要: The distinction between primary salivary gland tumors and metastases of other in glands is special importance for therapy prognosis. In the files Salivary Gland Register, 10,944 cases were collected during 1965 1985. Among these cases, there 108 metastatic to parotid submandibular gland. pathohistological analysis revealed following data: 47 (43%) localized parenchyma (37 cases) or (10 cases). 61 (57%) displayed lymph nodes (38 (23 sublingual was free tumors. 65 originated from neighborhood (head neck). 32 carcinomas skin, 17 melanomas, 13 nasopharyngeal cancers. Metastases thyroid cancers found 3 cases. relative frequency due intense drainage with vessels presence many which are especially around 21 distant head neck region. There lung (7 cases), renal (6 mammary colonic cancer (1 case) uterus case). Clear cell tissue should always be checked a metastasis cancer.(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT 250 WORDS)
