摘要: Among the Yolngu (people) of north-eastern Arnhem Land, manikay (song) series serve as records sacred relationships between humans, country and ancestors. Their formal structures constitute over-arching order all ceremonial actions, their lyrics comprise esoteric lexicons held nowhere else in languages. A consummate knowledge its interpenetrability with ancestors, country, parallel canons yaku (names), bunggul (dances) miny'tji (designs) is an essential prerequisite to traditional leadership society. Drawing on our recordings Baripuy from 2004 2005, we explore aesthetics functions flexibility tradition. We examine individuation lyrical realisations among singers, role rhythmic modes articulating luku (root) buŋgul'mirri (ceremonial) components repertoire. Our findings will contribute significantly intercultural understandings theory aesthetics, centrality intellectual traditions.
