摘要: Chile peppers are one of the most important crops in Mexico and a plethora ecotypes can be found there. Most them ancient open-pollinated (OP) landraces selected by farmers for uniform phenotype but with an inherent level genetic diversity, called criollos. In this work 15 pepper accessions, encompassing 2 criollo lines, their progenies, 5 controls, were characterized set 36 IPGRI descriptors 23 SSR markers to assess effect open pollination inbreeding process. Heterozygosity levels comprised between 12 47% which similar or lower than those values from parent plants higher control cultivars. Also, both progenies parents showed agronomic morphological uniformity. Our results suggest that OP program is efficient terms reaching enough uniformity Ancho while preserving certain diversity confer adaptation climate change.
