摘要: Caspase 8 is the most proximal caspase in cascade and has been known for its role mediation of cell death by various receptors belonging to TNFR family. We have discovered that can activate NF-kappaB pathway independent activity as a pro-apoptotic protease. This property localized N-terminal prodomain, which contains two homologous effector domains (DEDs). 10 MRIT, DEDs-containing homologs 8, similarly pathway. Dominant-negative mutants prodomain block induced FADD several interact with multiple proteins be involved activation pathway, including serine-threonine kinases RIP, NIK, IKK1 IKK2. Thus, caspases homolog(s) may functions beyond their death. Oncogene (2000) 19, 4451 - 4460.
