摘要: Some impact tests are described in which G c , the fracture toughness, of three polymers was determined over a range strain rates and temperatures. It found that at high there substantial variation with rate. When this investigated as function loading times, it observed most likely explanation terms notch tip blunting induced by adiabatic heating crack tip. A model process is presented provides good description observations suggests some useful guidelines for practical testing.
