摘要: Abstract Objectives The main objective of this study is to identify the prevalence hearing loss in school aged children Nepal. Methods This cross-sectional was carried out on attending government run schools A total 79,340 from grades 1 through 10 were included study. After taking brief history about ear diseases and loss, screened for their respective classroom by otoscope. Hearing evaluation pure tone audiometer threshold obtained at 0.5–4 kHz. results then documented analyzed. Results impairment Nepal found be 5.73% (4551 79,340). Conductive most common type observed 70.47% (n = 3207) children. Conclusions shows that a problem With cause due preventable conditions such as chronic otitis media, it believed early standardized screening, detection timely management media these can prevent its impact educational, social language development. School based health programs are useful community-oriented solution prevention deafness. It how important introduce screening primary loss.
