摘要: Abstract In the current study, alumina and alumina-yttria composite coatings were prepared on stainless steel substrates via atmospheric plasma spraying. Their dry sliding wear performances against graphite under severe conditions evaluated by using a ring-on-disk tribometer. The results showed that addition of yttria has successfully decreased friction coefficients coatings. Further, temperatures in process rose sharply initial stage then reached state thermal equilibrium. at equilibrium stages lower than those coatings, which may be due to their combined with slightly higher conductivity. High interface considered greatly aggravate stress, thereby intensifying cracking Additionally, improved toughness related crack propagation resistance.
