摘要: A series of 23 X-linked lethals affecting imaginal discs, previously classified as to disc phenotype and autonomy/nonautonomy lethal gene action has been histologically characterized. Fluorescence microscopy whole mounts discs from 22 the mutants examination sectioned material 15 at late third instar reveals following: Thirteen have extensive cell death; 10 these act autonomously (cell lethality). Three with death phenotypes were “normal” judged by dissection. Discs three may be able respond molting hormone, β-ecdysone, but deficient in a secondary response leading tissue.
