摘要: Concern for the potential global change consequences of increasing atmospheric CO has prompted interest in 2 development mechanisms to reduce or stabilize .During next several decades, a program focused on terrestrial sequestration processes could make significant contribution abating increases. The reclamation degraded lands, such as mine-spoil sites, highway rights-of-way, and poorly managed represents an opportunity couple C with use fossil-fuel energy by-products other waste material, biosolids organic wastes from human animal sewage treatment facilities, improve soil quality. Degraded lands are often characterized by acidic pH, low levels key nutrients, poor structure, limited moisture-retention capacity.Much is known about methods these soils, but cost implementation limiting factor. However, additional financial environmental benefits may economics land activities. The addition energy-related can address adverse conditions through variety mechanisms, enhancing plant growth capturing long-lived pools. This review examines combustion amendments enhance identifies gaps information that still must be addressed before implemented environmentally meaningful scale. 2002 Elsevier Ltd.All rights reserved.
