摘要: Abstract The infrared spectrum of H 3 O + in positive column discharges 2 /O gas mixtures has been studied by a difference frequency laser spectrometer. ν 1 fundamental band was identified the region strong . Molecular constants were obtained least-squares fitting observed frequencies, and origins subbands determined to be 3389.656(2) 3491.170(2) cm −1 , respectively. During this study, assignment extended higher J K transitions, which do not fit calculated pattern well, but have definitely assigned using ground state combination differences relative intensities. Vibration–rotation interactions between states considered, explained some large discrepancies frequencies led identification forbidden transitions. Energy Δ = rotational levels from allowed an accurate determination C D Equilibrium structure derived r e 0.974(1) A α 113.6(1)°.
