摘要: A two-step penetration method using the microindentation technique is presented to investigate mechanical properties of hard coatings in this article. This employs a large-load indentation step, first exhibit influences substrate deformation and coating thickness on measured hardness values, then selects small load, based results step perform measurement. Since with measurement will not be affected by substrate, elastic modulus can obtained precisely. Experiments TiN deposited high-speed steel shows that method, accurately reliably.
