摘要: RNA interference is a conserved homology-dependent post-transcriptional/transcriptional gene silencing mechanism in eukaryotes. The filamentous fungus Neurospora crassa one of the first organisms used for RNAi studies. Quelling and meiotic by unpaired DNA are two RNAi-related phenomena discovered Neurospora, their characterizations have contributed significantly to our understanding mechanisms A type damage-induced small RNA, microRNA-like RNAs Dicer-independent were recently Neurospora. In addition, there at least six different pathways responsible production these RNAs, establishing this as an important model system study function biogenesis. studies Cryphonectria, Mucor, Aspergillus other species indicate that widely fungi plays roles genome defense. This review summarizes current fungi.
