An Integrated Model of Group Psychotherapy for Patients with Fibromyalgia

摘要: Abstract This study examined the effectiveness of an integrated model brief group psychotherapy for treatment fibromyalgia syndrome, using cognitive behavioral and supportive expressive techniques. In context outpatient, multidisciplinary program, was provided to 35 patients with 21 control patients. Pre–post measures depression, anxiety, impact, pain, fatigue, morning tiredness were obtained. Using a quasi–experimental design validated psychometric instruments, results showed significant decrease in pre-versus post pain patients, suggesting that may have beneficial psychological functional effects some fibromyalgia.
