摘要: A LABORATORY INVESTIGATION IS REPORTED ON THE EFFECTS OF PARTICLE SHAPE AND SURFACE TEXTURE FATIGUE BEHAVIOR AN ASPHALTIC MIXTURE. WAS LIMITED TO ONE MIXTURE TESTED IN CONSTANT-STRAIN MODE. THREE AGGREGATES WERE USED SEPARATE MIXTURES FOR COMPARISONS: ROUND GRAVEL, LIMESTONE, INTERMEDIATE-SHAPED AGGREGATE THAT NEITHER NOR SLABBY, SLABBY SLATE. TWO MIXTURES, CONTAINING UNETCHED LIMESTONE OTHER ETCHED COMPARED TEXTURE-FATIGUE STUDY. BEAMS DIMENSIONED 2.5 BY 3 4 IN. COMPACTED FROM EACH LABORATORY. LIFE DEFINED CRACKING BEAM MONITORED RESULTANT FOIL STRIPS GLUED BEAM. RESULTS MODE TESTS SHOW SLABBY-SHAPED HAD SIGNIFICANTLY SHORTER THAN ROUNDED GRAVEL. THERE NO SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DATA RUPTURE MODULUS VERSUS NUMBER CYCLES INDICATE LINEAR RELATIONSHIP LOG-LOG PLOT EXISTED ALL WITH DIFFERENT SHAPES TEXTURES. CURVES ARE ESSENTIALLY PARALLEL LIMESTOME IDENTICAL. /AUTHOR/
