摘要: OBJECTIVE To examine whether sensory changes in lower limbs associated with diabetic polyneuropathy compromise postural stability different visual conditions. RESEARCH DESIGN AND METHODS The presence and seventy of neuropathy was evaluated a clinical scale measures nerve conduction velocity the limbs. Balance control by testing subjects9 (with force platform) vision, without during recovery period after being vision. RESULTS Neuropathic patients showed larger ranges sway, faster sway speed, greater dispersion than subjects all They also exhibited similar or less stable performance vision that There strong relationship between severity stability. CONCLUSIONS This experiment highlights even neuropathic is impaired may put them at higher risk falling when performing more challenging daily tasks.
