摘要: Matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry (MALDI−TOF−MS) has been employed for the analysis of poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA), acrylate) (PMA), and polystyrene (PSt), which were obtained by ruthenium-mediated living radical polymerization. Proper selection conditions gave well-resolved spectra these polymers (one m/z separation). The MS showed only one series peaks separated exactly monomers. observed each peak agreed well with theoretical one, possesses initiator fragment at α-end chlorine group (also from initiator) ω-end. isotopic distributions in good agreement simulated distribution based on polymer structure. On other hand, PMMA, PMA, PSt prepared conventional polymerization AIBN two or three resulting bimolecular termination uncontrolled initiation.
