摘要: 'Much research has investigated children's understanding of others' mental states in terms beliefs, but far less is known about their desires. To fill this gap, we used an eye-tracking paradigm to test 2-year-old desire by measuring anticipatory looking behavior as well changes internal arousal (i.e., pupil dilation). Children showed increased dilation when adult reached for object she had previously emoted negatively towards (the incongruent with her desire). also weaker evidence anticipating that will reach positively congruent These results suggest 2-year-olds robustly recognize whether or not individual's actions are consistent desires, and seem have a budding capacity predict based on Thus, age 2 years, children way acquiring robust psychology.
