摘要: Abstract This work presents experimental results on the inhibition performance of low-dosage hydrate inhibitors (LDHIs). The studied LDHIs, namely terpolymers N -vinylcaprolactam and alkylimidazolium bromide or benzyl ammonium chloride hydroxyethyl methacrylate acrylamide derivatives, were synthesized at Mexican Petroleum Institute with objective producing high higher cloud points than that exhibited by poly( -vinylcaprolactam) homopolymer. Three methods used to evaluate terpolymers: 1) capacity inhibit formation tetrahydrofuran (THF) hydrates (atmospheric pressure −0.5 °C); 2) natural gas under low temperature conditions (∼6 MPa, ∼1 °C, a subcooling 16 °C for sample); 3) determination point in aqueous systems varying salinity temperatures ranging from 2 °C 81 °C). solubility (in highly saline systems) indicate these compounds could be considered promising kinetic gas-well anti-agglomerants prevent delay agglomeration clathrate during production transport hydrocarbons.
