摘要: In conventional mammography, x rays transmitted through the breast are converted to light in a phosphor screen, and exposes film emulsion. The information image is degraded this detector due limitations screen film. Photodiode arrays can convert directly into charge overcome these problems. A preliminary investigation of thick crystalline silicon photodiode array as solid state digital was performed. prototype device consists 300 micrometers thick, 256 X 30 2 pixels. hybridized two different readout structures for evaluation purposes, one structure being used imaging other single pixel experiments. Imaging performance, such linearity, resolution, noise were measured predict performance proposed clinical version prototype. Results show response be linear over range exposures required modulation transfer function (MTF) superior that screen-film detectors, dominated by x-ray quantum fluctuation. Based on results from devices, we detective efficiency (DQE) design will significantly higher than all spatial frequencies interest.
