摘要: In an adult male cadaver, the flexor digiti minimi brevis, a muscle of hypothenar eminence, was found to arise from superficial transverse septum (between superficially placed carpi ulnaris, palmaris longus, and radialis muscles, deeply digitorum superficialis muscle) in distal fourth aspect left forearm. The exhibited two strata fibers at its origin. stratum thin layer transversely running confined forearm, which has not been previously reported. deep stratum, thick longitudinally fibers, formed bulk muscle. It traversed Guyon's canal ulnar nerve vessels reach eminence. Its course through could be cause for tunnel syndrome. trunk innervated only anomalous brevis muscle, but also abductor brevis. This may due common phylogeny these three muscles same mass. Clin. Anat. 16:340–343, 2003. © 2003 Wiley-Liss, Inc.
