摘要: Abstract C-doped and C- V-doped TiO 2 photocatalysts were prepared by a sol–gel process. Both catalysts showed high activity for the degradation of acetaldehyde under visible irradiation ( > 420 nm ). The co-doped also highly active in dark; 2.0% V-containing had highest activity, comparable with light irradiation. characterized X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), diffuse reflectance (DRS), N adsorption–desorption. results suggest that vanadium ions introduced both on surface into bulk . A free electron, induced formation V 5+ sublayers during calcination at 500 °C air, was delocalized promoted conduction band thermal energy further transferred to O , generating superoxide radical anion (O ⋅ − ) is responsible dark. In addition functioning as photosensitizer shifts optical response from ultraviolet (UV) region, doped elemental carbon increased area improved dispersion vanadium.
