摘要: Background. Acute respiratory infections are the most common illnesses experienced by people of all ages worldwide. A portion hitherto unexplained viral tract (RTIs) can now be attributed to human metapneumovirus (hMPV), which was discovered in 2001. Several surveys on burden disease hMPV infection have been conducted various study groups and with different diagnostic assays. To estimate impact a hospital setting community at large, we reviewed these establish infection. Methods. Published data our own additional unpublished clinical were reviewed. Results conclusion. Worldwide, account for least 5 7% RTI hospitalized children, but immunocompromised elderly individuals also risk. In general 3% patients who visit practitioner RTI. The seasonality resembles that syncytial virus influenza infections, recurrent epidemics during winter months. Clinical symptoms laboratory findings associated exhibit spectrum virtually indistinguishable from those disease. development assays must take into existence two serotypes.
