摘要: Acquired capability for suicide is posited to develop through repeated exposure physically painful and psychologically provocative events; however, there limited research evaluating the assessment of events. The current study examined factor structure, validity, reliability Painful Provocative Events Scale (PPES). Categorical exploratory confirmatory analyses were conducted in a sample undergraduate students (N = 732). A 15-item PPES with 3-factor solution best fits data; both subscales derived from yielded inconsistent validity reliability. Despite addressing limitations previous psychometric investigations PPES, findings suggest theoretical reconceptualization events subsequent development valid reliable needed take place versions PPES.
