摘要: (1199 nm) reveals the presence of ferrous iron in jarosite which is unusual for minerals. This can be caused by ferric reduction thermophilic iron-oxidising bacteria. Mid IR spectra showed characteristic OH stretching bands jarosites and effl orescent mixtures. The position water vibrations at 2900 cm -1 lower shows strong hydrogen bonding as also evidenced bending modes around 1682 .
