Psychological profiles in patients with symptomatic reticular forms of oral lichen planus: A prospective cohort study.

摘要: Objectives To analyze intra, extra-oral symptoms and psychological profiles in symptomatic patients with reticular (R) forms of oral lichen planus (OLP). Materials Methods Thirty R-OLP (sR-OLP) were compared an equal number non-symptomatic (nsR-OLP) patients, burning mouth syndrome (BMS) healthy subjects (HS). The Numeric Rating Scale (NRS), the Total Pain Index (T-PRI) Hamilton Scales for Depression (HAM-D) Anxiety (HAM-A) administered. Descriptive statistics, non-parametric ANOVA procedure by Kruskal-Wallis, exact Fisher test multiple comparison Mann-Whitney U performed. Results The median IQR HAM-D HAM-A 16.0 (11.7-24.0) 17.5 (13.7-27.2) BMS 13.5 (12.0-15.0) 15.5 (10.7-18.0) sR-OLP 2.0 (2.0-3.2) (2.0-4.0) nsR-OLP 3.0 HS, respectively. NRS T-PRI 9.0 (7.7-10.0) 11.0 (9.0-12.2)for 11.5 (7.0-13.0) Comparison analysis between revealed a not significant difference medians profile pain two groups (p-value >0.05). Conclusions The complaints are correlate anxious depressive patients. Mood disorders could modulate perception or that develop different associated diseases, OLP BMS.
