摘要: Two experiments were conducted with lambs that consumed endophyte-infected (Acremonium coenophialum) tall fescue diets under elevated temperature and humidity supplemented the dopamine antagonist metoclopramide (M). In Exp. 1, 12 ruminally cannulated wethers (average weight 49 kg) allotted by to either an endophyte-free diet (E-) or (E+; 1,170 ppb of ergovaline), E+ M (15 mg/kg lamb BW; E+M). Ad libitum DM intake digestibility lower (P < .05) for than E- diet. Supplementation increased 27.6% but did not change digestibility. Body when was further supplemented. For 2, 19 wether 24 treatments evaluate effects endophyte consumption (0 vs 2,430 ergovaline) supplementation 20 BW). An interaction main measured intake. Lambs E+M more fed only E+, offered increase consumption. Diet different among treatments. Skin vaporization decreased due supplementation. The concentration prolactin in plasma (8 136 ng/mL) supplementation.(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT 250 WORDS)
