摘要: Purpose – The purpose of this paper is to study the Chicago Alternative Policing Strategy (CAPS), largest community policing program in USA.Design/methodology/approach data for research come from 1993‐1994 Citizen Survey Longitudinal Evaluation Chicago's Community Program. Referred as CAPS Prototype Panel Survey, were obtained Inter‐university Consortium Political and Social Science Research. Both ordinary least square log linear regression used analyze data.Findings findings indicate that people living prototype districts had significantly higher levels satisfaction with police fighting crime than matched comparison areas who not subject program. also residents communities only marginally more satisfied keeping order those non‐CAPS communities.Research implications/limitations Th...
